Keeping the glass of your shower enclosure sparkling clean is a simple process of removing the excess water using either a squeegee or microfiber cloth after each use. Hard water allowed to sit can actually score the surface of the glass over time causing pitting which cannot be removed without a costly process. Start at the top and wipe or squeegee down and you are done. The hardest part is getting your family to participate! For more advanced cleaning and maintenance, you can also use Rain X two in one glass cleaner and rain repellent to help keep the shower door clean. For those who prefer to clean without the use of chemicals, a safe and effective method is detailed below. What you will need: Baking sodaDistilled white vinegarA window scrubberA scrub spongeA window squeegeeA spoonA small containerPaper towels How to Clean Your Shower Door Now that you have your supplies, the procedure is simple: First, place half a cup of baking soda in a container and slowly add vinegar until the mixture reaches a pasty texture. The mixing of baking soda and vinegar can fizz off a little bit, but this should is not a cause for worry. As soon as the fizzing is finished, place the scrub sponge in the mixture and apply it generously on the shower door. When the entire door is covered, leave the mixture for ten to fifteen minutes for it to cut down all the dirt. Second, use a scrubbing sponge and water to fully remove the paste. After the mixture is totally removed, use a window squeegee and some paper towels to dry the glass. Last, but not least, check for any traces of scum. If there are none, then your job is done.
